As the world’s one and only The Wine Tipster, Neil Phillips uniquely combines his successful career of over thirty years in the wine, food and hospitality industry with his extensive horse-racing knowledge. The Wine Tipster believes that horse racing and hospitality as a race day experience go hand in hand, and has made it his mission to share this with both industries.
Since 2014 Neil has worked for The Jockey Club as a tipster and resident sommelier who also works with Jockey Club Catering as a broadcaster and presenter in restaurants on race days. Neil works alongside chefs, including household names Michel Roux and Raymond Blanc, develops wine lists, engages with guests and champions racecourse hospitality to the media. He also regularly presents at Ascot, the Qatar Goodwood Festival and the York Ebor Festival.

The Wine Tipster brings his charismatic presenting skills and expert knowledge of hospitality to the racing world as a regular on ITV Racing, Racing TV, TalkSport, TalkSport2, Sky Sports News and Nick Luck’s Daily.

The Wine Tipster has been the racing tipster for Unibet Racing since 2018 and Neil is also a partner in My Racing Manager, a racing syndicate who have had two Cheltenham Festival winners.

The Wine Tipster is available for race day and hospitality presenting, MC’ing events, hospitality events presenting with chefs, consulting on drinks lists and private cellars, media campaigns, filming, radio work and managing horse racing syndicates .
